Mission Statement

To enhance a child’s self-esteem and confidence utilizing a positive, fitness-oriented learning environment that assists in the development of the total child, mentally, physically and emotionally.

Our fitness center provides a wide variety of programs to children and their parents all under one roof. Now more than ever, Kids in Motion offers the best in developmental ready programs while providing quality service to our customers and creating more programs for the community.

What is the philosophy at Kids in Motion? Behind all we do, we strive to develop each child’s physical, mental and emotional growth within a positive environment, while enhancing their individuality and self worth. Children can learn from a teaching staff that is warm, loving, and nurturing to their students. We are proud of our philosophy.

When we commit to developing a young person, we fully accept all that it means to influence this child. At Kids in Motion, the children feel positive aspects of learning which insures their desire to learn at an optimum level.

Mentally, we strive to make every child feel that they are important. To do this, our teaching stresses the positive aspects of their personalities. By taking the time to understand their needs and wants, our instructors can teach and motivate them individually to enhance their full participation and achievement.

The emotional needs of our children vary, but they can easily flourish in our sharing and caring environment. This totally non-competative environment teaches children to focus on their achievements and improvement of their skills. When a child concentrates on their own growth, it diminishes aggressive behaviors. We promote understanding of each other so the harmony can prevail.

Vison

 

The vision of Kids in Motion is to be an innovator in the field of child development…

To spread the knowledge of self-esteem and touch as many lives as we can utilizing the tools (the facility, workshops, lectures, public relations, etc.) that we have available to us.

 

This journey will take us to places and programs unknown. We want to have fun and feel a sense of purpose while developing and implementing them.

 

 

Pre-School

We are Apple Accredited!

 

VPK programs are available at Kids in Motion from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily, a 3 hour program of free education paid for by the state of Florida. Before and aftercare is available, with full and half day programs. We are accepting children age 4 as of September 1st, 2006. The VPK program includes instruction in our gym, which is a unique way of learning. All of our teachers are certified and with degree.

 

We also offer regular pre-school programs here at Kids in Motion. We are currently accepting children ages 2,3, and 4. Our program includes an Educational High Reach Curriculum. Our pre-school program includes breakfast, lunch and snacks daily! Kids in Motion provides a fun and loving environment for all children. After School

 

We offer a huge array of activities for our after school programs. We pick up from most elementary schools and even some middle schools. We have a state of the art gym, offer creative arts & crafts as well as a homework club, karate, cooking & science programs, swimming and occasional field trips! After-school care runs from 2 pm- 6 pm Monday through Friday. Care until 6:30 can be aranged for an additional fee. We offer special activities on early release days and have camp on days off.

 

 

Camps

 

We offer special camps on holidays (no school days, spring break, winter break, etc.) and over the Summer. We offer Pre-K camp for children 2-5 and regular camp for ages 5-14. Camps include our Starlette Cheernastics camp, which includes Cheers, Chants, Dance, Tumbling, and field trips.Our Adventure camp includes Field Trips daily, swimming, arts & crafts, cooking, games, and so much more! Sports camp includes almost any sport you can think of! Tennis, basketball, football, soccer, rollerskating, karate, swimming and much more! ½ or full day camps are offered for preschool aged children.

 

Summer camps are 11 full weeks of fun!

 

Some field trips include bowling, roller skating, splash adventure, ice skating, movies, parks, boomers & more. Please call today to reserve a spot for your child.

 

 

 

 

Swim school

 

Kids in Motion offers swimming/water survival lessons in our full sized indoor, heated swimming pool. We consider our swimming and water survival program to be the finest in the area. We have taught over 6,000 children in the past 6 years! Our philosophy and curriculum are taught to all levels from infants through adults. Open Gym

 

Open gym is held on Fridays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Please sign up earlier in the week to reserve your child’s spot!
